New Album, New Songs, New Site, New Friends
by admin on Jul.17, 2009, under Blog
Depending on how often you visit this site, you may have noticed a new look. I specifically chose a Wordpress blog as my website because the pages are easily managed, I can change the look of the website by adding a new template and it has many built in features that help me organize and keep SPAM limited.
So after Older & Wiser? was released, the members of my project kind of thinned and we started looking for more friends to join us. Since, we have added Katie Turner, a soprano that also plays piano and Jill Bynum who plays an assortment of instruments as well as currently learning new toys to tap on.
With that said, the music is still flowing. We have already begun tracking songs for the 2nd and 3rd CDs ( yeah, I already have the songs written and album names )
as well as plenty of new songs in the works. You can look forward to more ukulele fun, vocal textures and a constant shift in genre. We are looking forward to adding some new instruments to the music as we go along, I like that about being independent, no rules to tie you down. CDBaby.com has upgraded their look and format to better help us independent song writers. Now you can visit my artist page and see each album as I release them. They also added the ability to download individual tracks in mp3 format much like iTunes which you can also find my music.
We have a couple of gigs coming up July 25th at 45 South Cafe in Norcross with Christian Baggett, August 4th we play for the Douglasville Fine Arts Teachers, August 17th we are at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur throwing down some open mic action. More gigs to come as we book them. Just keep checking back Here for gigs.
Thanks for reading and I hope you are doing well.

About the musicians on Older & Wiser?
by admin on Mar.06, 2009, under Blog
I would like to take the time to let you all know about the musicians on my debut album. These are all friends of mine, normal people like you that are not paid professionals. These are people with families, jobs, problems, bills etc.
These people, these friends of mine, came to rehearsal after rehearsal, recording session after recording session without being paid a dime or a hand stretched out expecting compensation. They put money into their gas tanks when it was $3-4 a gallon, they drove to miscellaneous gigs for no pay. They did it because they love music, they loved this music and believed in what I am doing.
For that I am forever grateful and love each of them for what they gave me.
A special thank you to
Peggy Killian ( PK )
Mike O’Dell
Jill Peacock
Michael Turner

First album begins….
by admin on May.30, 2008, under Blog
For those interested, we just started recording the first tracks for my debut album. We are all getting very excited about this little adventure and look forward to the days ahead. No ETA on the CD itself and I am really enjoying the ability to take my time and not be rushed in a studio for $800 a day.
I have some really talented musicians and singers with me on this and possibly a few exciting extras to be added in the upcoming days.
Just a friendly update as to our progress. I hope you are all well.
Thanks for listening,
tk
